In October of 2023 I completely rebuild by Toyota 22re due to premature rod and main bearing failure. The whole process took about a month and a half (mostly waiting on parts). the teardown took 2 days and once I had received all of the parts the rebuild itself took a week exactly (two full weekends 8h days and 2-4h after work during the weekdays) there were no major complications and it has been running great ever since!
